The natural lava stone is a traditional building stone with a number of interesting uses. Close to the quarry you can see many examples of walling & block-work, stair cases & columns some with intricate carvings & decoration. Historically designers find new & interesting applications because the stone offers such diversity of use from acid boiling chimneys, kerbstones, water channels & bricks - diversification is inevitable & welcome. * This page is still under construction |
