The ultimate luxury - a Pyrolave swimming pool. This infinity pool was designed & specified by Foster and Partners London for a private client in Japan. Each piece was mechanically fixed - including the base & sides - & was left with an open un-filled joint of 2mm. Our glazed lava stone is suitable for use in the pool tank or as a feature band at water level & as coping stones to the perimeter. The stone is inert when immersed in water over long periods & resistant to chemical attack. We provided a specially combined hand rail & drip channel, concealed drainage units & a special non-slip effect for the base tiles & coping stones. One of the reasons why Pyrolave glazed lava was chosen by Foster and Partners was because we offered a short production run in bespoke sizes in a specific colour with all matching fitments - everything that was required to get away from “another tiled pool”. Pyrolave offered all the necessary resistance properties & was manufactured to an overall total pool length tolerance of 5mm. The result is a luxurious yet understated infinity pool of exceptional quality befitting the standing of the client.
