Weather-resistant, self-cleaning, insulating and available in a multitude of colours, Pyrolave is the ideal material for building cladding. In terms of fitting, it can be used as an open jointed, mechanically-fixed rain-screen system or as traditional jointed faience.

The blocks of lava extracted from our quarry are typically rectangular, up to approximately 700mm x 1200mm. Larger blocks are rare and should not be considered for multiple quantities. Therefore, when designing your scheme, the most economical approach is to use naturally-occurring dimensions.

Cladding is available in the following formats:
• 10mm thick: all sizes up to 300mm x 300mm (faience)
• 15mm thick: all sizes up to 600mm x 1200mm
• 25mm thick: all sizes up to 1000mm x 2000mm (not to be considered for multiple quantities)
• 30/40/60/80mm thick: all sizes up to 1300mm x 2600mm (not to be considered for multiple quantities)
